Visit a Navy Submarine

Sometimes you run across a unique opportunity that might not have been expected. Visitors to Fisherman's Wharf sometimes experience that when they see the USS Pampanito. It's available to tour for $10 (adults) $6 (seniors) and $4 (children 6-12). The submarine served in the Pacific during World War II, sinking six Japanese ships on six patrols. A museum since 1982, the USS Pampanito attracts more than 100,000 visitors each year.

This is your chance to see what it would be like to live and work on a navy submarine, right down to the sleeping quarters, control center and crew's galley. Look for the exhibit at Pier 45 on Fisherman's Wharf. Visit the USS Pampanito Web site to get the latest information on admission prices, exhibits and children's programs.
