How to alleviate hay fever – Using air conditioners

A recommendation for hay fever suffers to get good nights sleep. Hay fever is one of those things that unless you suffer from it it's hard for non suffers to appreciate. Sneezing a 100 times in half an hour with streaming eyes especially when you're trying to get to sleep is not recommended. Plus the fact if you're in bed with your partner there not going to appreciate someone who sounds like Darth Vader next to them all night. It would be unfair not to mention a couple of self help remedies to alleviate your symptoms although it does take a bit of getting used to. Try smearing a little vaseline into each nostril, this basically catches the pollen spores in the vasaline and does work even if it does feel a bit weird to start with. Another thing that does work well and is worth trying before you go to bed is as follows. Fill a basin with cold water and then dip your face in the water whilst keeping your eyes open. This is easier said than done as you will want to blink. If you can master it, it's a good way of clearing any pollen spores from your eyes and reducing that itchy feeling. When you get up the next day if you can keep the pollen from your eyes to start with that will certainly help so wear sun glasses whenever possible.
