- 1). Cut a piece of ribbon approximately 12 to 16 inches long, depending on the amount of distance you want from the doorknob to the bear.
- 2). Using safety pins, pin the ends of the ribbon to the back of the teddy bear, which should be between 9 and 12 inches long.
- 3). Cut the poster board into the shape of a heart, baby bib or any shape you choose. This poster board will be attached to the front of the bear, so the size of the cut piece should match the size of the teddy bear's belly. It can be slightly larger if needed.
- 4). Punch two holes near the top of the poster board. Write the words "Name," "Date," "Time," "Height" and "Weight" on the poster board. Align the words to the left margin and draw a line from the end of the word to the right margin. Decorate the poster board cutout with markers, glitter, paint or stickers.
- 5). Attach the poster board cutout to the teddy bear using a decorative diaper safety pin. Once the baby is born, fill in the details and joyfully display your baby announcement door hanger.
