    • 1). Place a 1/4 to 1/2 lb. of dry ice on an old metal tray and place it directly on top of the old adhesive. Leave the tray there for two or three minutes and move it to the next spot if there is a lot of adhesive to remove. The dry ice makes the adhesive brittle and can now be scraped away with a scraper. Repeat this process until all of the adhesive is gone.

    • 2). Heat the adhesive with a heat gun until it is soft enough to remove easily with a scraper.

    • 3). Scrape away as much of the adhesive as possible with a scraper. Remove any residue with a sander and 40 grit paper. Sweep away any dust or debris with a broom.
