    • 1). Make a paste of 1/2 cup cream of tartar with 1 quart hot water and slather it on the yellow stains on your shoes. Let it sit overnight. Launder as usual, after removing the laces.

    • 2). Make a paste of 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 quart hot water if the cream of tartar paste doesn't work. Apply the baking soda paste on the yellow stains and let the shoes sit overnight. Launder as usual.

    • 3). Apply hydrogen peroxide directly on the yellow stains if all else fails.

    • 4). Reapply a few times until you begin to see results.

    • 5). Launder as usual and then let the shoes air dry.
