1Combine the sugar, lemon juice and water in a heavy saucepan and heat on low. Use a candy thermometer to monitor the temperature; remove from heat once it reaches 250 degrees.

Allow the mixture to cool enough to spread onto the skin without burning. Test it on the palm of your hand.

Apply the mixture to your legs with a tongue depressor.

Cover the area of your leg that has the mixture on it with strips of cotton.

Allow the sugar mixture to set for a few minutes.

Grip the bottom of the cloth strip and pull upward against the direction of the hair in a fast, swift movement.

Repeat with the remaining areas of your legs.
