- 1). Connect the video output of your DVD player to the input of your VCR with S-video cable. The S-video input on your VCR is a small, black circle with seven holes. The output on your DVD player has four holes.
- 2). Connect the left and right audio output of your DVD player to the input of your VCR with an RCA audio cable. Match the left and right channels of each device with the color coding of the RCA cable.
- 3). Connect the S-video output of your VCR to the input of your television. Connect the audio output of your VCR to your television with an RCA cable.
- 4). Insert a blank tape in your VCR, and insert a DVD in your DVD player. Turn on your television.
- 5). Navigate from the main menu of your DVD to the chapter you want to start recording from. Press "Record" on your VCR.
