Going to college, most students hope for getting the desired financial aid they apply for. Still, most students are not aware of the situation that has recently occurred. The article aims to present students with some useful information about the failure in the financial aid system the college, government and students suffer from. The Government and the Department of Education try to solve the problem, but the world financial processes may not be stopped or prevented, even for a while. The main idea of the problem ? The problem that has occurred in the current system of financial aid in the American colleges is devastating – the Government is unable to satisfy students' desire in educational loans and grants. The situation is in the condition of deadlock. Those students who apply for financial support are not promised to get it as the demand is much higher from the ability of the supply. ? Those students who have already applied for financial support and have got it are still unable to pay their tuition as it has risen greatly. ? Thus, the tuition cost has increased and it is a direct costs. The increase of the amount of money families have to spend for paying heating, food, different transportation and other bills prevent them from saving enough for their children's tuition, and it is the indirect cost. ? The insufficient financing of the higher education may lead to a number of problems, like the inability of most students pay their tuition and, as a result, the inability to get education and be able to support the government with sufficient skills while work. Now, students are able to see the problem in proper perspective and do not pin their hopes on enough financial aid. Having decided to go to college, students should either enlist their parents' support or find a job that could give them an opportunity to combine work and education.
