Angel of Death- OLTL Recap for Friday, November 13, 2009
Marcie gives birth to a healthy son, she and Mike name him Gabrielle Thomas McBain. Mike calls John to share the good news. John promises to pay a visit to Seattle once he takes care of a “little problem” (a.k.a Mitch). John keeps an eye on Mitch until he can safely get him into police custody and back to Llanview. Mitch wonders why he’s going to Llanview, John explains that all the charges will be reinstated now that Mitch is alive.
Mitch explains that the statute of limitations has passes, he tries to convince John that Jared was behind everything (even saying that Jared had him locked in a cage before letting him out). John doesn’t buy a word Mitch says, Mitch is excited for his return to Llanview because there are people there that he needs to see.
Bo and Nora arrive at the hospital too late to stop Matthew from having the surgery. Nora and Bo have a confrontation with the hospital administrator wherein the administrator threatens to seek police action should Bo and Nora try to interfere with the surgery. Bo calms Nora down and explains that the only thing they can do now is wait. Tea and Eli find Danielle at the hospital, Tea scolds Danielle for leaving the boarding school and makes good on the promise to enroll her in another boarding school. Danielle refuses to go anywhere until she knows that Matthew is out of surgery. Tea and Eli agree to stay at the hospital until Matthew’s surgery is over. Eli talks with Danielle and explains that Tea is doing what a mother should be doing and that Tea really loves Danielle.
Danielle sees that Tea is trying and considers cutting her a little slack. Tea sees Nora and apologizes for taking Matthew’s case, realizing now that it was a bad decision. Nora knows that Tea only regrets taking the case because of the situation with her own daughter, Nora tells Tea that she wants nothing to do with her right now. Tea, Eli and Danielle give Nora and Bo some space. Bo comforts Nora, Dr. Nanz emerges from the operating room and tells Bo and Nora that he’s got some bad news.
Gigi wakes up in Schuyler’s room, Schuyler explain what happened the night before and Gigi has some recollection. Gigi rushes home to be with Shane, Roxy sees Gigi leaving Schuyler room. Roxy lays into Schuyler about wanting to steal Rex’s girlfriend. Schuyler explains what happened, Roxy seems to understand but threatens him with eviction if he should try anything with Gigi. Rex returns home and is dumbfounded that his father is Mitch Laurence. Shane greets him and fills Rex in on what’s been happening in Llanview. Rex learns that Schuyler took his place in the costume contest and he is less than thrilled. Noelle, who was in the kitchen, explains that Gigi was called into work early to work on a delivery. Gigi returns home and goes along with Noelle’s cover story. Noelle sees Shane to the bus stop, Rex can see that Gigi isn’t feeling well and explains that there’s something he needs to take care of. Rex rushes over to the Angel Square Hotel, finds Roxy and tells her that he knows who his real father is.
Jared is rushed to the hospital and taken to an operating room. Natalie is relieved when Clint arrives to support her. Viki takes Charlie aside and explains what Jess told him – that Mitch knows Charlie killed someone. Charlie explains that he’s never killed anyone, Viki trusts Charlie. A doctor tells everyone that Jared is doing ok, but he needs surgery and they are prepping him for it. Natalie goes in to see Jared, Jared apologizes for not telling her everything but he just wanted to protect his father. Natalie tells Jared that Charlie is there, Jared wants to see his father. Natalie lets Charlie into the room, Jared tells Charlie that he did kill someone – Jared explains that Charlie came over to his house, drunk, and accidentally killed his stepfather. Charlie is ashamed, more so that he was so drunk that he doesn’t even remember the encounter. Charlie tells Jared that when he’s out of surgery, he’ll be a better father to Jared. Charlie returns to Viki and breaks down in tears, telling Viki that he really did kill someone and doesn’t even remember it. Natalie returns to Jared, Jared promises never to keep secrets from Natalie. Natalie kisses Jared as all of his monitors begin to beep. Doctors rush in as Natalie is ushered out. Natalie and Charlie comfort each other while Viki, Clint, Jess and Brody huddle together. The doctor comes out to tell everyone that Jared has died. . .
