They love to pretend to be mothers or daughters or good friends. This is how dolls, dollhouses, toy furnitures for the hall, kitchen, and bedroom all started.

Manufacturers are so clever to create them in a miniature size made of wood, good quality plastics and paper cutting. Some of these things can be pretty expensive in the market therefore you can create your own by just being creative. When creating miniature dolls or furniture or houses for your children, get them involve bringing out their creativity. Ask them for suggestions and apply their suggestion onto those items you are about to create.

Here we explain how you can create your own miniature toy furniture's or houses and many more. First, decide on the material you like to use. As a beginner, I recommend you start with cardboard, boxes, then with wood. As you improve, you can then venture into plastics or metal. You can even create 3D with wooden boxes.

Measure the size of the doll you have then get the right scale of the house to fit the doll. Give extra room on the ceiling as well as enough room for the doll to have a bed in the house. You would not want the doll's leg hanging out at the edge of the bed or the house. Children are not concern about having the furniture's, tables, beds into the house except they must have their doll walking around in the house and able to sit on the chair and have tea with their other doll friends.

Think how you like the house to look like and begin sketching it. Create the doors, windows, draw them on the cardboard or boxes and cut it out. After you have completely cut everything you need for the house, does some painting on them would make the house looking prettier when it is completed. Use pastel colors for the wall in order to make the house looking more spaces. You can also use lovely present papers for the wall. Unwanted carpets or lace or fabrics lying around in your house can be used as carpet for this miniature house.

Once you have completed on the walls, windows and floor, next is the curtains. Use the fishing string, cut two lengths of it and cut some lace fabric.  Stick the lace fabric on the fishing string and hang on the window. Stick some pretty beads on both the ends of the fishing string to secure the hold of the curtain and for the final touch for the window, cut some nice pictures representing outside scenery and paste this on the window.

Finally have cupboard, furniture, tables, bed, dressing table, sofas, telephone, lighting, standing fan, all of these made by you and place them nicely at the appropriate place in the house. You might like to decorate them with pillows, flower pots, picture frames to enhance the look of yourself made little dollhouse.
