Maxx Media Launches World's First Digital Smartscreen

Today, March 26th 2013, saw the launch of the World's first advertising digital Smartscreen in Brighton, UK.

The Smartscreen, which is owned by Maxx Media and designed and installed by Solutions in Steel, is completely unique and has the ability to run creative in full motion video or broadcast ads in real time. Its ultra slim-line design and the latest LED technology delivers 140° viewing angles, enabling superior visual performance. In addition, the screen boasts improved environmental credentials as it uses significantly less power than any other option on the market, making it a natural consideration for any organization working to a ‘greener' agenda.

Peter Dixon, Maxx Media's Managing Director explained ‘Brighton was carefully selected as the location for the UK launch; the market here is uniquely cosmopolitan, diverse and discerning and our technology can help advertisers of all sizes target the market better. Smartscreen utilises the latest digital technology which means creative production is superfast and advertising placed on the site can be as brief as just 10 seconds. The screen is located on Queens Road in Brighton, close to the train station, enjoying OTS of 360,000 every week.
