How to Clean Iron Deposits Off Fiberglass Shower Stalls
- 1). Saturate a cleaning rag with water. Wipe the iron-stained fiberglass to remove any abrasive buildup.
- 2). Prepare to remove the iron deposits with an all-purpose cleaner. Put on rubber or latex cleaning gloves and safety glasses.
- 3). Pour 1 gallon of clean, hot water into a clean bucket. Add 2 tablespoons of trisodium phosphate, thoroughly mixing the crystals into the water. Fully dissolve the trisodium phosphate crystals.
- 4). Drench a nonabrasive sponge in the trisodium phosphate solution. Scrub the iron deposits with the drenched sponge, working up the fiberglass shower wall.
- 5). Continue scrubbing the reddish-brown deposits with the trisodium phosphate solution until they disappear.
- 6). Saturate another rag with hot water. Immediately wipe the trisodium phosphate off the fiberglass shower wall. Thoroughly rinse the fiberglass.
