- 1). Unplug the HDTV and place it face-down on a sheet in order to protect the screen.
- 2). Remove all screws on the back of the TV where the base stand meets the rear panel of the TV.
- 3). Remove the base stand from the unit and set it aside.
- 4). Remove all screws from the rear panel of the TV.
- 5). Lift the rear panel up and take it out of the TV. The internal components of the TV, such as the mainboard, are now accessible.
