How to Remove Ink From an Iron-On Transfer

    • 1). Dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol.

    • 2). Dab the cotton swab onto the transfer ink you are trying to remove. If you are trying to remove all of the transfer ink from an article of clothing, soak it in a bucket filled with rubbing alcohol. If the ink begins to lift, continue treating with rubbing alcohol until the transfer ink is dissolved. If not, continue to Step 3.

    • 3). Dip a cotton swab in an acetone-based, nail-polish remover. Rub the cotton swab onto the transfer ink you are trying to remove.

    • 4). Allow the clothing or iron-on transfer to air dry once the ink is removed, then wash as you normally would.
