Nonpharmacologic Therapy


There is limited evidence available for nonpharmacologic options for pain management in older adults. Therapies with supportive evidence include exercise, music therapy, and acupuncture. Other therapies that are commonly used include heat and ice therapy, transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
