But you've probably also noticed there is so much to learn.
It's a creative hobby with so much technical stuff to manage.
A very common complaint or concern from people who are starting out in photography is, they can't seem to make the pictures they want.
You've probably seen something or a scene you wanted to photograph but when you take the photo, it's just not how you imagined.
It's either too dark or too light, or yikes kind of blurry.
Please don't be hard on yourself, it happens to everyone.
You need to take a deep breath - take it one step at a time, and be patient with yourself.
Digital photography can seem simple when everything is working for you, but life and taking pictures is never always like that is it?.
It changes and all scenes and subject matter are different.
I wish I could tell you one or two things that would make it all simple, but really it's about getting to know your camera and learning some techniques.
The cool thing though, is it's fun to learn and even more fun to practice.
With digital photography you get to see your mistakes and successes right away, not like it was when we had to use film cameras.
As well as getting to know your camera, it's also a good idea to think a little bit about what you want to photograph.

Or maybe better said you need to "open your eyes"! Photography is more than just taking pictures, it's about capturing the world around you.
So you need to be really observant of that world.
And I encourage you to appreciate that world, all aspects of it.
Beauty is everywhere and all around us, and it's just waiting for us to discover and capture it.
There are specific methods and techniques to learn, to not only help you use your camera, but to teach you how to take beautiful photographs of the world around you.
