- 1). Insert the Windows Vista CD into the computer.
- 2). Restart the machine and press any key as the computer loads to boot from the CD.
- 3). Select your language, keyboard and currency settings from the onscreen menus.
- 4). Click the "Repair this Computer" option.
- 5). Select your Vista installation from the list onscreen and click "Next" to begin the repair. This will auto-detect and fix the problem with the Windows Installer files.
