The message editor in The Bat! has a capability that only few advanced text editors have: you can select text blocks.
Block selection works like selecting files in a folder. You draw a rectangle with the mouse, and everything inside the rectangle is selected.
To turn column block selection on in The Bat!:
To switch back to the stream selection style normally used, use Ctrl-O K.
