Hottest Christmas Toy - Playskool Kota (The Triceratops)

103 33
Kota the Triceratops is a 40-inch tall robot dinosaur that is at the top of all of the best-selling Christmas toy lists this year.
And honestly, I can't imagine it possibly coming off those lists in the next couple years.
(Although I'm sure it will with the inception of just one more incredible toy.
But I'm just saying that I'm impressed.
) What's so amazing about this personal dinosaur for children? Well, for one, they can ride it.
Kota can carry up to 60 pounds, so chances are, your tot will lose interest in living like The Flintstones before he or she grows out of it physically.
Therein lies one of Kota's downfall: overweight children and young at heart adults aren't able to take the Triceratops for a spin, complete with stomping noises and adventure-themed music.
The 2.
5-foot tall dinosaur is plenty of fun on its own, though.
There are movement sensors in nine areas of the prehistoric plush that allow it to move its head, horns, mouth, and tail.
It sniffs your hand if you touch its nose, laughs if you tickle its belly, roars from time to time, and munches on leaves that are included (do not attempt to feed it real foliage).
Considering this best-selling toy is practically a pet, Kota is a steal at $300.
Unfortunately, you may also need to make room for your new family member, as the robo-saur shouldn't be outside.
This is probably partly because it's not an all-weather dino-bot, and partly because it requires level, stable surfaces (read: no sandboxes).
Aside from providing a safe, loving home for Kota, its owner is also responsible for furnishing it with six "D" batteries.
With all this toy does, and how cute this toy is, who wouldn't want a giant dinosaur-robot-toy-pet-taxi? For more Christmas toy reviews, visit TopChristmasToys.
