Internet Marketing Tips - Rinse and Repeat

103 74
Don't you just hate cliches and corny sayings? One of the ones that drives me crazy in the world of Internet marketing is rinse and repeat.
I think people who use it think they're cool by saying it.
Of all the corny things to say.
Okay, now that I've gotten that out of the way, what does it REALLY mean and how practical is it? I'm going to shoot a few holes in rinse and repeat today as well as show where it does make sense.
I think you're going to enjoy this "out of left field" article.
Rinse and repeat essentially means, find something that works for you and then repeat the process or do it again for another niche.
In a nutshell, that's what it means and on the surface, it would seem to be a logical thing to do.
Find something that works for you in one niche and repeat it in another niche.
But there is a major flaw with this theory, and I do mean a MAJOR one.
Let me explain.
There is one particular niche, the make money online niche, that is very unique.
People respond to it differently in this niche than they do in any other niche.
There are two reasons for it.
The first is that people in this niche are also marketers themselves, so they know all the tricks of the trade.
They're not as easily persuaded by some of the marketing tactics as people in other niches are.
So what might work for the health niche might totally bomb out for the make money online niche.
Reason number two is actually slightly related but deals more on the technical end of it.
See, each niche has its own sphere of influence.
For example, marketers hang out in places that are quite different from other people.
And the ways to reach these other places are different from other niches.
In fact, they are so unique, they're almost a niche unto themselves.
You could build a whole marketing plan based on these places alone.
But if you tried to do that with the health niche, you would fall flat on your face because the places don't cater to those people.
Sorry I can't be more specific but to do so would keep this article from being printed.
I'll leave it at that.
Point is, just because you find something that works for one niche doesn't mean it's going to work for another niche.
Now, having said that, if you find something that works and can find a sub niche of your original niche, then in that case, sure, it may very well work.
Or if you can find or create a similar product, that might work as well.
Rinse and repeat does have its merits in many cases, but it's not always practical depending on what it is you're rinsing and repeating.
