How to Add Custom Registry Key Using Adobe Customization Wizard

    • 1). Download the Adobe Customization Wizard by opening its download page and clicking "Download Now" (see Resources).

    • 2). Start the Adobe Customization Wizard installer by double-clicking the downloaded "CustWiz90_en_US.exe" file on your computer.

    • 3). Install the Adobe Customization Wizard by clicking "Next" in the "Welcome" window, reading the license agreement and clicking "I Accept" and "Next" if you accept, clicking "Next" and clicking "Install." Click "Finish" when prompted.

    • 4). Open the Adobe Customization Wizard by clicking "Start," "All Programs" and "Adobe Customization Wizard."

    • 5). Open your organization's Adobe MSI software distribution file by clicking "File," "Open Package," browsing to the MSI file and double-clicking it. If you don't have an MSI package file, read Adobe's TechNote for more information on acquiring one (see Resources).

    • 6). Click "Registry" in the sidebar at the left side of the "Adobe Customization Wizard" window.

    • 7). Browse to a registry key folder in the "Destination Computer" pane at the bottom of the "Adobe Customization Wizard" window by clicking the plus signs to the left of each registry key folder.

    • 8). Create a custom registry key by right-clicking a registry key folder in the list at the bottom-right "Adobe Customization Wizard" window, clicking "New," clicking "Key," typing a name or your registry key and pressing "Enter."

    • 9). Create registry values under your custom registry key by clicking it in the list, right-clicking in the pane at the bottom-right corner of the "Adobe Customization Wizard" window, clicking "New," clicking a type of value, typing a name for the registry value and pressing "Enter."

      Modify the value of a registry entry under your custom registry key by right-clicking the value, clicking "Modify," typing a value into the "Value Data" box and clicking "OK."

      Save your customized Adobe installer package by clicking "File" and "Save Package." The customized installer creates the custom registry key when it installs on other computers.
