    Vehicles

    • If you don't have your own off-highway vehicle, there are plenty of places nearby where you can rent an OHV or all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

Ocotillo Rentals and Tours offers delivery service to Glamis if you don't want to get a trailer to transport your rental the rest of the way. They offer a selection of dirt bikes, buggies, and ATVs to rent. While there are many other ATV rental places in Southern California, this is one of few that will deliver.

    What to Bring

    • There are few restaurants or even gas stations around Glamis, so make sure you bring food and water with you. Though the temperature drops at night, days can be quite hot, so dress accordingly.

A GPS device is also a necessity when off-roading since the dunes are 40 miles long and easy to get turned around in.
