How to Motivate Yourself For Weight Loss
Hi, I am 25, work in a call centre and like most people my age I have many desires, some more important than others.
I was athletic but that's a thing of past.
I have seen my waistline go from a fit 30 to a manageable 32 to a depressing 34 (depressing because I cant see my belt buckle anymore).
One of the main constraints my job has imposed on me is lack of physical activity at work which in turn leads to over eating resulting in weight gain.
I most desire right now to shed those extra kilos that take my belt from troposphere to stratosphere.
The bridge between desire and achievement is small and the distance can only be covered with an ally called motivation.
I (for that matter you) need to ask myself why do I want to do it? If I am candid I will get a reply, probably I don't like myself this way, or because I will have a better chance with a girl whom I like, probably I just want to be fit and healthy.
The reasons may wary but if you are reading this we have a common desire.
Once we know WHY we want to do it we have covered the first base but a run is still 3 bases away implying we have some way to go.
We have just realized the IMPORTANCE.
Next, we try to figure out HOW we can achieve the goal of a fit, strong and healthy body.
We are blessed in the sense that these days we have a variety of OPTIONS like regular Gyms, slimming programs and regulated diets to choose from.
Depending on our choice we can opt for any thus equipping ourselves with the means to achieve ends, hence ticking out another positive in the "I can do it".
I and I am sure you also like to think that we are very busy people and hardly ever get time for anything.
"Weight loss" "yeah I want to do it but I don't have the time".
That brings us to the question of WHEN?? The answer is pretty simple WHENEVER.
Wondering How?? Well we just selected an option didn't we? I am sure while doing so we kept our CONVENIENCE in mind.
So the question of when shouldn't really bother us, should it? Our final base towards weight loss is an amalgamation of the answers so far.
We know why we want to lose weight, we know how we want to do it and we also know when we want to do it now the only thing that's left to be done is to actually DO IT.
Here while discussing with you I have realized that I can be fit, lose those extra kilos.
I am thirsty, have reached the well now only drinking the water remains.
If I still don't do it, maybe I never wanted it that bad.
I still have difficult shifts, irregular timings and all the reasons to be lethargic but I choose to step up and be FIT!
