- 1). Click "Start" and press "Run."
- 2). Type "regedit" and press "Enter."
- 3). Navigate through the following keys in order: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE," "SOFTWARE," "Policies," "Microsoft," "Windows" and "Psched."
- 4). Right-click in the right-hand panel and create a "New" "DWord." Call this "NonBestEffortLimit."
- 5). Input a value of "0" for the DWORD, which will free up around 20 percent of your available upload (and download) bandwidth.
