- 1). Click "Start" on your Windows taskbar, then select "Control Panel" to open the Windows Control Panel.
- 2). Select the icon "Add or Remove Programs."
- 3). Choose America Online from the list of programs then click "Change/Remove."
- 4). Highlight the different versions of AOL that show up and choose which versions and files you want to remove. To completely uninstall AOL, choose all the options.
- 5). Follow the screen prompts to finalize the uninstalling process and to restart your computer. Once the computer restarts, AOL will be uninstalled.
