The equivalent AMD Athlon XP processor will also work for this application. For videoconferencing that requires the transfer of both high-definition video and other digital content, use a 1.2 GHz Pentium 4 with SSE, or an AMD Athlon XP 1800+.

Third-party cameras will require a 1 GHz Pentium III with SSE, a 1.2 GHz Pentium 4 with SSE or an Athlon 1800+. For content transfer in addition to video transfer, use a 2.2 GHz Pentium 4 with SSE or an Athlon XP 2200+.

    Memory

    • Polycom PVX requires a minimum of 256 MB of RAM, plus a minimum of 16 MB dedicated video memory. The software requires 62 MB of hard drive space for a full installation and operation.

    Connectivity Requirements

    • Polycom PVX needs a 64-kilobyte broadband connection or better to transfer the information necessary for videoconferencing. Internet Explorer 6 or later, Windows Media Player 9 or later and DirectX 9 or newer are also required.

    Video Requirements
