Casino gaming is coming to Ohio--and to Cincinnati. After the state gaming referendum passed in 2009, plans were set in motion all over the state to build casinos. In Cleveland and Cincinnati, the initiative is headed by the Cleveland Cavaliers' majority owner, Dan Gilbert and Rock Ventures Inc.

The Project:

Developers broke ground February 4, 2011 on the $400 million casino complex on the Broadway Commons site in northeast Cincinnati.

The complex, which opened in March, 2013, features nearly 100,000 square feet of gaming space and approximately 2,300 slot machines, 72 gaming tables, a high-limits area, a poker room, and a VIP Players lounge. The casino will also offer three full-service restaurants as well as a buffet restaurant and a food court.

Other Casinos coming to Ohio:

In addition to the casino in Cincinnati, Gilbert is involved in building a casino in Cleveland. Penn National Gaming is investing in casinos in Toledo and Columbus.
