Get Ranked Quickly In The Face Of A Hundred Million Competitors

With so much competition out there in the Internet, it is exceedingly difficult to market your product and get sales. Whatever you have, you can be pretty sure that there are hundreds, if not thousands of competitors out there. A simple keyword search often reveals millions of competing websites. Yes, of course a small fraction of them are possibly offering competitive products. The vast majority are simply content websites which happen to contain the searched term. But that small fraction often represents a daunting picture - especially if you are just starting out.

All is not lost. You simply need to copy the best - and improve on it.

Figure out the keywords which best describes your product. Focus on those that carry the highest buying propensity. For example if you are providing services for Facebook marketing, simply going with "Facebook likes" will give you 199,000,000 competitors. Even if you manage to get ranked well, the visitors who trickle in are simply researching, with a small minority actually thinking about paying for improving their Likes count. Try narrowing it to "get Facebook Likes". Now the number has halved to 95,200,000. However it is still daunting. Can we improve it? Yes! Lets try "buy Facebook Likes". The number has shrunk to 27,900,000. Not bad since its a smaller number and the visitors have the intention to buy. Any more improvements? Yes! The term "buy USA Facebook Likes" narrows the search and eliminates 7,000,000 competitors instantly. Any more? Unfortunately not. If you try to add any more terms, strangely enough, the number of competitors shoot up.

That's fine but it sounds crazy to try to fight the top 10 websites in a field of 21,800,000. Well, its not that difficult.

First go get an exact term domain name like "buy-usa-facebook-likes.com" (this is just for illustration as this domain name might not be available by the time you read this). If it is an aged domain - better still.

Next, create a website and fill it with loads of content on Facebook, social marketing, USA fans, etc. Make sure the terms are fully searchable. They are no use to you if they are in graphic format. Make sure you don't get red flagged by doing keyword stuffing. As a rule-of-thumb less than 4% of exact term matches are okay.

Then, yes the organic search engine marketers will frown on this but it works, go get a backlinking company to give you a basic few hundred backlinks. Make sure that they do manual submissions rather than using software to generate auto-approved directory postings. After they are done, try not to be too impatient and try to get all the links indexed. If the search engines discover that you have a few hundred backlinks within a matter of days you could get deindexed fast.

Then use a backlink search tool like the Yahoo Site Explorer to reveal your top competitor's backlinks. These are the engines of their success all fully bared to you. Everyday, search out 20-30 of their links and post your own backlinks to them.

After a month or two, not only do you have your competitor's complete arsenal, you have your own as well. You now have a very good chance of overtaking them.

To do more, use a big variety of methods like social bookmarking, article submissions, YouTube, forum postings, insert fresh original content every week. If your top competitors are not doing this, as you should be able to see, you may score the top spots in no time.
