Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the numbered Ethernet ports on the Linksys router and plug the other end into an Ethernet port on your computer.

    • 2). Open a web browser window and enter "192.168.1.1" into the web address bar.

    • 3). Enter the username and password for the administrator's account on the router. To log in to a Linksys router using the default administrator's account, leave the username empty and enter "admin" as the password.

    • 4). Click the "Access Restrictions" tab in the bar near the top of the window.

    • 5). Click "Internet Access" in the small tab below the large tabs.

    • 6). Click the "Enable" button to the right of "Status" and enter a policy name in the box below, such as "WoW Blocking."

    • 7). Click "Edit List of PCs."

    • 8). Enter the IP address of the computer you want to block WoW access on in the middle section of the page. You only need to enter the last section of the computer's IP address--the router interface provides the rest. For example, if the computer's IP address is 192.168.1.190, you would enter "190" in the box following the first part of the IP address.

    • 9). Click "Save Settings" and close that window to return to the "Internet Access" section.

    • 10

Select "TCP" from the drop-down menu above the "Add/Edit Service" button.

Enter "3724" in the two boxes to the right of the drop-down menu.

    • 12

Click "Save Settings" again to block WoW on your Linksys router.
