- 1). Open the "Start" menu and click on the "All Programs" list.
- 2). Navigate to the "Accessories" folder and open the "System Tools" directory.
- 3). Select the "System Restore" program and choose the option to "Restore My Computer."
- 4). Choose a restore date from the menu that is before you want to begin the XP recovery process.
- 5). Press "Next" to begin the recovery of your corrupted files. After the process completes, your formerly corrupted files will be restored.
