How to Copy Files From a Computer Running Windows 3.1

1). Insert the floppy disk into the floppy disk drive of your Windows 3.1 computer.
2). Open the "Program Manager" and double-click the floppy "A:" drive icon. This opens a window with all of the files currently stored on the drive.
3). Locate the files you want to copy from Windows. These files can be located anywhere on the computer, ranging from the desktop to a self created folder. Click-and-drag the files you just located into the open "A:" drive window. A progress bar appears showing you how long the process is going to take.
4). Close out the floppy drive window and eject the disk from the computer. Repeat the process with any other files and floppy disks you want to back up.
